The Code G 2019 Boot Camp – Introduction to Python – Was a Huge Success!
We just wrapped up a 2-day interactive Code G boot camp where we taught young women how to code using Python.
A big thank you to the instructor, volunteers, and participants for making our first Code G Boot Camp a success and we look forward to hosting more technical training events in 2020.

Meet Our Board Members
Valery Tsygenbard is a Regional Marketing Manager for Trend Micro helping support their SMB and Managed Service Provider partner program. Valery has over 8 years experience working in multi-faced industries with a proven record of driving revenue, profitability and awareness for respective vendors and category lines. She has been in the IT industry for 4 years and is passionate about bridging the gap for women in technology by bringing awareness, education and mentorship opportunities to the Chicago community.
Fun Fact: Valery is a proud foster mom of a 4 year old Dachshund / Lab fur baby named Andy. Andy’s full name is Anderson and he moved in right around the same time Valery purchased her first condo in Andersonville.
Manager of Web and Creative
Amanda Bylina is a Marketing Automation/Operations Manager for Trend Micro supporting the US and Global campaign creation within the Marketo platform and a variety of other tools within the tech stack. With over 11 years of marketing experience in the Cybersecurity industry, Amanda’s background in graphic and web design drives her to take an UX-first approach to provide the audience with meaningful and relevant experiences.
Fun Fact: When Amanda is not creating for Girls in Tech, she spends her free time creating abstract paintings, making soy candles, cooking fun new recipes, and spending time with her two grumpy old cats (Kitty and Boo) and sweet little dog (Dexter).
Manager of Events
Caley Dunn is Field Marketing Specialist at Trend Micro supporting the Great Lakes sales region. Caley has previous experience at IT startup, Pure Storage, where her interest in the technology field grew. She began her career in corporate marketing at Allstate. She feels IT is an ever-changing and rapidly growing field that has a lot to offer as a career. Caley has learned an immense amount of working in IT and is passionate about encouraging other girls to join the field as well.
Fun Fact: Caley’s travel schedule does not allow for me to have a pet, but she has recently become an enthusiastic foster parent for kittens through PAWS. On the weekends you can find her touring the Chicago food scene with my “Chicago Food Club”.
Manager of Marketing
Kerry Lynch is a Field Marketing Specialist for Trend Micro supporting the “Great Lakes” region. Kerry has over 8 years in the IT field with previous positions at CDW and supporting the channel within Trend Micro. With her experience in the tech industry, her passion for growing girls in tech has grown tremendously. Her goal is to bring women together in Chicago to network, mentor and educate.
Fun Fact: Kerry’s family tried out for Family Feud and made it to the final round of interviews. She loves all animals, but her fur baby dog named Bucky takes up the majority of her time.
Manager of Strategic Partnerships
Kayte Malik is CEO of Dresscode Tech. Dresscode believes there is beauty in innovation and technology. The company merges fashion and technology to excite and educate women and girls about computer science, coding and STEM. Malik has held strategy, technology, and marketing roles for Fortune 100 companies. She has a BBA in Business Information Systems from St. Bonaventure University and a MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Malik was named to Remodista’s 2018 list of Women2Watch in Business Disruption and selected for 1871’s WiSTEM program that empowers high potential female tech entrepreneurs to grow and scale successful businesses.
Fun Fact: Kayte used to do standup comedy and once kidnapped Colin Quinn.
Manager of Membership Engagement
Anu Melville has been a Healthcare IT and PM Consultant for over a decade. She grew to love solving complex problems through her studies in Industrial Design and Business Management at Carnegie Mellon University. Through her work at Intel’s Research Lab, Anu was bitten by the “Healthcare bug” and wanted to try and improve our Healthcare system by implementing user-friendly technology solutions. From there she worked at Epic, a leading EMR company and was a Healthcare IT Director at KPMG. She now runs her own company that focuses on implementing innovative solutions to local Healthcare clients. Before settling in Chicago, she lived in some of her favorite cities including New York City, Madison, Pittsburgh and her home town outside of Boston.
Fun Fact: Anu has the most majestic Great Dane named Indiana Jones and a matching cat named Sallah. As much as she loves trying out new restaurants, Anu also enjoys cooking and attempting to creatively decorate baked goods at home.
Manager of Business Development
Regina Snyder is a result-driven Senior Solutions Architect and a Site Lead at Dell Technologies with over 20 years of technology and leadership experience. She currently holds a role where she oversees the strategic technical vision, provides management and engineering teams with technical direction, constructs complex enterprise systems, and focuses on solving complex technical problems. Regina spearheads the design, development, implementation, and testing of IT solutions. Recognized leader applying high-impact technical solutions to major business objectives with capabilities that transcend IT operations boundaries.
Fun Fact: Regina owns three horses and rides Dressage competitively. She also has three German Shepherds, which she trains for personal protection.
